Put on your acting cap

September 2005 - Britney Porter

The WaterTower Theatre (WTT) at the Addison Theatre Centre is offering a 12-week program for the acting community every Monday from 7 - 10 p.m., Sept. 26 - Dec. 12.

The first class is called Meisner Technique-Part 1 and will explore character development and techniques used by Sanford Meisner.

Shane Peterman will teach the class. Peterman has worked extensively in New York and Dallas. He trained under Meisner protégé Fred Kareman as well as WTT producing artistic director Terry Martin.

Martin, who teaches WTT's advanced scene study class, will provide regular feedback to the students in the program.

The program is for 18-year-olds and up. An interview and audition is required before admission. Admission is $400. The Addison Theatre Centre is located at 15650 Addison Rd. For more information or to request an application, e-mail James Lemons at jlemons@watertowertheatre.org or call 972-450-6233.
