The Plano Economic Development Board successfully markets Plano to companies. In 2003, Plano attracted 35 new economic development projects including Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union, Cates Control Systems, and Tyler Technologies. Other companies like Harley Davidson Finance Corp. and PepsiCo fueled employment growth by expanding existing operations.
The Plano Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 60th year. It is an active force in the community supporting business through networking events, and active involvement in community government, education, media, transportation and
civic organizations.
