Kraig is the King and he’s back in the park
A white jumpsuit, a Gibson Jumbo Guitar, and the obligatory scarf giveaway – Elvis impersonator Kraig Parker sure knows how to leave ya all shook up! From Vegas to London, and soon, Plano for the EDS Credit Union Balloon Festival, Parker has been swooning audiences for more than 12 years. “It’s a high-energy show,” he said. “It’s an exciting re-creation of the Elvis years in Las Vegas.”

The Art of Faith
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood of east Plano lives an artist whose work is seen daily by admirers from across the world. Visitors who reverently pause to visit the September 11th Catholic Memorial at Ground Zero in lower Manhattan are able to experience firsthand artist John Collier’s ability to depict – through sculpture – the raw, yet hope-filled emotions stirred by the tragedy in 2001.

The Plano International Festival
Fourth year for Haggard Park extravaganza
Plano resident Graciela Katzer was born in Argentina but moved to Plano almost 20 years ago when a job opportunity brought her to the area. She’s seen firsthand not only how much Plano has changed overall, but how the community has become a multicultural blend of citizens from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. |
