Brit joined our staff in 2005 as a staff writer and brings her joie d' vive to our offices. The Rockwall native is a member of Leadership Frisco Class X and Leadership Plano Class XXV.

Brit graduated in 2006 with her master's in journalism from the University of North Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in mass communications from Texas State University, and for an honors thesis, she wrote and designed a magazine for college students called Aspire. For a taste of the real world, Brit interned at Texas Monthly her senior year.

At Plano Profile, she writes, designs, and/or edits High Profile, the Calendar, The Front Row, and FYI. She also writes the Author Author feature and other features as assigned. In 2007, Brit was promoted to assistant editor. When asked what the most rewarding part of her job is, she says, "The variety - I'm writing, editing, researching historical events to put on the Calendar, and I'm laying out pages in InDesign. Plus, Mike has been generous to lend me his camera so that I can learn photography!"
