Most recognized for her feature articles in the magazines called Interiors and Home Matters, Cindy joined the Plano Profile staff as assistant editor in 1997 after several years as a column contributor and freelance writer. As managing editor, Cindy expands her role as feature writer and editor, in addition to managerial duties. She also works closely with Executive Editor Mike Newman in editorial planning for Plano Profile and Collin Quest magazines.
Reflecting on her nearly ten-year association with Wishbone Graphics, Inc., Cindy commented, "I am still amazed at the journey that led to this wonderful opportunity. I remember reading one of (President and Publisher) Jean Godfrey's columns in 1990 about a position open at the magazine. I was intrigued with the idea, but I was also the mother of a newborn and a three-year-old - not the ideal time to rekindle my career! Seven years later, the opportunity presented itself again, and I found myself sitting in the Plano Profile/Collin Quest office as assistant editor. Now, my promotion to managing editor has capped my experience." Cindy's enthusiasm for the vibrant and energetic community is reflected in the positive coverage the magazines provide for Plano, Frisco, Allen, and the rest of Collin County.
A graduate of Texas A&M University and holding a Master of Journalism degree from the University of North Texas, Cindy was well-trained for her position. She and husband Tony have two sons, Sam (18) and Scott (15), and live in Plano.
