Pat joined our staff after working more than 20 years in print production, design and illustration. As an independent contractor, she was lucky enough to snag a number of dream projects, such as illustrating the Six Flags Map and "performing" at the Meyerson. She "performed" at the Meyerson Symphony Center by illustrating Peter and The Wolf on billboard-sized paper during the concert. More recently, she worked for Mesquite ISD as an award-winning graphic designer, webmaster, and script writer. She now focuses all that know-how on helping us energize our publications with engaging design and finely tuned copy.
With a double major in communication design and photo journalism, Pat earned her master's degree from Texas A&M University in Commerce. She takes the Mesquite ISD mantra "Lifelong Learning" seriously and, although she lives in Dallas, she has discovered the immense benefits of taking career classes at Collin County Community College.
The fact that photo albums, photo files and photo CD notebooks have claimed half the bookshelves in her living room helps explain what Pat does for fun. Her two sons' growing-up years are well documented there. Both sons, Augie and Jaime, now grown, live in San Antonio, too far away for adequate flash range.
